Erika Katharina Horony passed away on January 19, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Erika was born on July 2, 1938 to parents Friedrich and Klara Gelle in Sigmaringen, Germany. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Michael Horony; her sons Christopher Horony (wife, Lourdes), and Mark Horony (wife, Staci); her brother Manfred Gelle; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Erika was a devout military wife.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday January 26 at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice.
