Erlinda was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Trevino; her grandparents, Belia and Frutoso Guajardo; and her niece, Julita Villalon.
She is survived by her children, Leslie Villalon (Jose), Joe Trevino Jr. (Jessica), and John Trevino; her parents, Julio and Ernestina Villalon; her siblings, Julio Villalon (Olga), Belia Baird, Velma Quiroz, Frank Villalon (Lisa), and Robert Villalon (Crystal); and her grandchildren, Jacey, Jasper, and Joe III Trevino. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Erlinda attended Mansfield Business School and devoted herself to caring for others throughout her life. She worked for several years as a special education paraprofessional, a role that reflected her steady patience and generous spirit, before becoming a full-time homemaker—where her devotion to family remained at the center of each day.
Those who knew Erlinda knew a woman of deep faith and quiet strength. She carried a strong belief in God and met life with courage and resolve. Just as memorable was the warmth she brought into a room—her sense of humor, her ability to make each person feel important, and the way she created belonging simply by being present.
Nothing delighted Erlinda more than being a “Momo.” She loved to feed everyone and to gather family close, finding joy in shared meals, conversation, and the sound of laughter around her. She especially enjoyed listening to her boys play music, treasuring those moments that filled her home with life and togetherness.
In the spirit of her humor and candid care for others, she also wanted this message included: “If you learned anything from me, go to the doctor, lol.”
Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78238, on August 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on August 14, 2026, at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237, USA, on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 am.
