Ernest M. Arzola

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, heaven gained an angel, Ernest (Ernie) M. Arzola, age 72. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 11, 1952. He worked for the Express-News for 25 years. Ernest was an avid parishioner of Saint Benedict Catholic Church. He was also a dedicated participant of the City of San Antonio, District 2, Senior Center. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Manuela and Frank Arzola Sr., his brother Frank Arzola Jr., his brother in-law, Andrew Ramos, and his nephew Bryan Scott Apolinar. He is survived by his siblings, Beatrice Apolinar (Susano), and Sylvia Arzola-Ramos, his nieces and nephews, Steve Apolinar, Mark Apolinar (Serena Davila), Audrey Ramos (Daniel Romero), Aaron Matthew Arzola-Ramos; Shelby Regine Morris, his grandnephews Amadeo and Dante Apolinar, his grandniece Arabella Apolinar, and numerous extended family members and friends. His shoes will never be filled and he will be sorely missed for his joy for life and loving heart. Until we meet again! He will be honored by his pall bearers Aaron Matthew Arzola-Ramos, Andrew Michael Arzola, David Joseph Arzola, Devon Michael Arzola-DeAngelo, Leonard Ralph Arzola, and Paul Anthony Arzola-Moreno, and honorary pallbearers, Gilbert Arzola and Roy Arzola Jr.

The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
