Ernesto Rubio born on June 23, 1916 in Laredo, TX went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2013 at the age of 97. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delfino and Alejandra Rubio. Ernesto is survived by his loving wife; Pilar Rubio; his beloved children; Ernesto Rubio Jr. (Carmen), Maria Rubio Soto, Alma Rosa Rubio; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Ernesto served proudly in World War II in England, France, and Germany and was a recipient of a Bronze Star. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady Of Good Counsel. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
