After graduating high school in Michigan, Ernie found his knack in sales. He eventually made his way to San Antonio where he began his auto sales career. He worked for many companies, but was with Ken Batchelor for the last 17 years. Ernie's success was due to his love of taking care of his customers. When not centered on work he enjoyed time with his family and driving anywhere the car wanted to go.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and his brother, John.
