Esmeralda Essie sanchez

Esmeralda Sanchez of San Antonio, Texas was received to the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Esmeralda is preceded in death by her parents, Adrian, Sr. and Antonia Sanchez; brothers, Adrian Sanchez, Jr., Antonio Martin Sanchez; nephew, Salvador Sanchez and niece Christina Lozano. She is survived by her brother, Rafael Sanchez and wife Christine; sisters, Maria Thelma Tamayo, Irma Hinojosa, Bertha Galindo, Sandra Young and husband Steve Sr.; sister-in-law Lydia Sanchez; uncle, Ramon Sanchez and wife Hilda and numerous nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Esmeralda had a fun spirit, a kind heart and was very devoted to the people she cared for and loved. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. To all her nieces and nephews and their children she was the "favorite Tia", known to them as their Yaya.

Esmeralda also enjoyed traveling, attending WNBA Silver Stars games, Theatrical Plays on Broadway, and was a huge supporter of the University of Texas in Austin "Hook em Horns".

Esmeralda will be remembered for her loving heart and commitment to helping her friends and family. Per her request in place of a funeral, Esmeralda would like for her body to be cremated and her ashes returned to the earth. We were blessed to have her in our lives. She was deeply loved and will be missed by many. On behalf of the Sanchez Family, we would like to thank everyone for their care and support.
