Esther Acevedo Rios

Esther A. Rios will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was known for always giving selflessly to others, professing her faith and trust in the Lord, and sharing her sense of humor with everyone she encountered. She was also a true advocate of the Women’s ACTS Retreats for many years.

Esther A. Rios is survived by her mother, Virginia M. Acevedo; husband, Roy L. Rios; son, Joe Gutierrez Jr; daughters, Bianca Rey Rios, Ruby Rios Perez (Johnny); grandchildren, Jonathan, Jake, Jax Perez; sisters, Mary Jane Hugelier (Scott), Socorro Diaz (Eleazar), Linda Lou Hernandez, Alvina Garza (Charlie), Martha Reyna (Max), Christine Torralva (Raul); brothers, Jesse Acevedo Sr. (Sylvia) Richard Acevedo (Sally), and Jimmy Acevedo; many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe T. Acevedo and brother Guadalupe M. Acevedo Jr.

A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. This will be followed by a prayer of the Divine Mercy at 6 p.m. with a final mass at 6:30 p.m. All services to be held at her favorite parish, San Juan De Los Lagos Parish & Shrine.
