Ethel V. Obregon

She was born on October 25, 1924, in Cross Plains, Texas to Manuel Earl and Emma Lottie (Mayfield) Lackey. On March 3, 1943, she was united in marriage to Rudolph Obregon in Comanche, OK. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1990.

Ethel was a devoted wife, mom, and Mammaw.

For many years, she and Rudy owned and operated Ethel's Flowers & Gifts on West Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. She loved cats, music, flowers and hand-made arts and crafts. She loved to collect memorabilia of hummingbirds and frogs.

She is survived by her daughter, R. Elaine Loftin of San Antonio, TX; and four sons, Russell E. Obregon & wife Luciana of Bergheim, TX; Roger W. Obregon & wife Judy, Rex M. Obregon & wife Stephanie, of San Antonio, TX; and R. Kevin Obregon of Dallas, TX. She has 6 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one sister and two brothers.

Burial will be graveside at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM.
