Surrounded by the family who adored her, Eudelia N. Medina peacefully entered the arms of the Lord on March 11, 2026, at the age of 78. Eudelia N. Medina was born on March 3, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. Eudelia’s life was defined by the deep roots she planted in her community and the boundless love she grew within her home. For over 20 years, Eudelia was a dedicated professional with the South San Antonio Independent School District (SSAISD). While she was committed to her work and her community, her heart belonged entirely to her family. Central to her world was her husband of 56 years, Juan S. Medina. Theirs was a beautiful and enduring love story; Eudelia truly adored Juan, and the life they built together was her greatest pride. Eudelia truly lived for family gatherings, whether she was soaking up the sun on vacations to the coast with her extended family or hosting lively get-togethers at home; her vibrant and competitive spirit always beamed through as she shared countless laughs and good times challenging her loved ones at Uno, Monopoly, Loteria, cards, and dice.
She also cherished every second spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was the quiet, tender days of babysitting or the loud, proud moments cheering them on at every possible school event, she was, and will always be their biggest fan and constant supporter.
Eudelia had a true zest for life. She loved to dance, go fishing, and gamble at the casinos. She will be remembered for her lively spirit, her quick sense of humor, and a heart that loved so freely. Her memory will live on in the music we dance to, the peaceful days spent by the water, and the joyful moments we share together.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Silvestre and Angelita Nava; brother Ricardo Nava; and sister Raquel Nava. She is survived by her beloved husband, Juan S. Medina; her daughters, Diana Medina Pacheco (Ronnie) and Cynthia Medina Arcos (Greg); and her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Medina Pacheco (fiancée, McKenzie Giger), Noah Medina Pacheco, Meghan Celeste Pacheco, Zoë Nichole Pacheco, Joseph Lee Arcos, and Samuel Lee Arcos. She is also survived by her siblings (Nava sisters), Guadalupe N. Elizondo, Julia N. Rodriguez, Rosemary N. Grimaldo, Anna N. Mata, and Mary Alice N. Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, a Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
