Eunice Dula Lewis died peacefully Saturday, June 13, 2009. Born on June 10, 1914, Eunice was the eldest of two children born to Dula Tally and Hardy Washington Lewis in Smithville. At age 5, her family moved to San Antonio, where Eunice remained. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, H. Wilson Lewis.She is survived by two nephews, Hogue Lewis, of San Antonio and Hardy Lewis and his wife, Diana, of Leakey; six great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great-niece and four great-great-nephews; and numerous cousins. Private family burial services will be held later in San Fernando Cemetery III. Pallbearers are Levi Lewis, Lemuel Lewis, Hardy W. Lewis, Reed Lewis, Curtis Franke, Sandy Ziegler and honorary pallbearer, John Franke.
