

Eva Marie Martin Caldbeck, born July 30, 1913, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of John Seaman Perkins and Eva Marie Sauer Perkins of Kansas City, Kansas where she received her education at The Loretto Academy.
Eva and her husband of 43 years, George Francis Martin, owned and operated a children's boutique business for 35 years, the A B C Shop of Austin. "Mamere" will be greatly missed by her loving family and remembered for her strong faith which sustained her throughout her rich and full life.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Eva Marie Martin, her husband, George F. Martin, her late husband of 16 years, Col. Raymond J. Caldbeck, Ret. her two sisters, Marguerite Duesing Flippo and Helen Wilson, and her son-in-law, David C. Kocurek.
She is survived by her eight daughters and four sons: Sharon M. Kocurek, Laura M. Labatt and husband, T. Weir III, Marguerite M. Bozeman and husband Michael, of San Antonio, Victoria M. Hampton and husband, Gary, Christopher Martin and wife Nora, and John Martin all of Austin, Edward Martin and wife, Leeann of Spicewood, Helen M. Reeves and husband, William of Brenham, Dr. Mary M. Patton and husband, Michael of Fort Worth, Nina Martin and husband, Paul Hunt of Marfa, Loretto M. Patterson and husband, Christopher of Irving, Bruce Martin and wife Marti of Bradford, AR. She is survived by her brother, John Harrison Perkins and wife, Cecilia Sunrise Beach, MO and her 35 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eva Marie's sweet and loving spirit captured the hearts of all who knew her. The family is grateful to her caregivers, Hejinia Del Rio and Guadalupe Rosales and to the nursing staff of Incarnate Word Retirement Community for their loving service.
