

Eva Mae Rodgers Hoeffler, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born May 30, 1925 to Arthur G. Rodgers and Guida Massey Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jack A. Hoeffler, Jr.
Eva is survived by her son, Gary Hoeffler and wife, Angela; daughter, Vicki Hoeffler Jaco and husband, Marc; and grandchildren, Dylan Louis Hoeffler and wife Sara, Alex Owen Hoeffler, Austin Ambrose Jaco and Jenna Lynn Jaco; and a great grandson, Baby Hoeffler due in August. Eva was born and raised in Ingram, Texas.
She graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas. Eva moved to Austin, Texas and worked as an administrative secretary for an insurance company. While in Austin she met Jack Hoeffler and they were married in 1952. They enjoyed 61 years of life together before he passed away in 2014. Together they enjoyed cruises and annual beach vacations with their children and their families. She cherished the times spent with her grandchildren and loved when everyone was together. Eva enjoyed painting with oils and watercolors and was a member of the River Arts Group. She was famous for her paintings of the San Antonio Riverwalk and Texas wildflowers. Her paintings were bought by people all over the United States. Eva had a quick wit and her blue eyes were always smiling. Eva was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed forever.
