

God called our beloved mother, Eva Madeline Winser, home to dance with the Angels on December 11, 2012. She was born on February 15, 1922 in Kalaheo Kauii, Hawaii to Arthur and Mary Fernandes. Eva shares an amazing history of her family who migrated to Hawaii along with other Portuguese settlers that were establishing family roots in Kauii. She is preceded in death by her husband Abel J. Winser, Father, Mother, four brothers and three sisters. She was affectionately known as “GG” to all and her memory will be cherished by her son Abel Winser and his wife Donna of Midalothin, Tx; Son Richard Winser of Rodeo, CA; daughter Ruth Plante and husband Don; daughter Debra Winser-Zambrano and husband Jose. She is also survived by the joys of her life-14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will take place at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, 78218 on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 5:30-9pm with a Rosary/Vigil Service at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway, San Antonio, Texas, 78239 on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:30 am with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church in honor of Eva’s memory.
