He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ellison and Margaret Ann Echterhoff; and his sister, Janie Terrell.
He is survived by his faithful and loving wife, Star Rangel-Echterhoff; sisters, Nina L. Baskin and husband, Daniel, Gwen E. and husband Rev. Bill Dugat; brother, John Ellison Echterhoff; niece and nephew, Summer and Trey Echterhoff; also very dear niece, Sierra Price Punkie; mother-in-law G.V. Rangell; brothers in law, Richard J. Rangel and family, and Robert J. Rangel; sisters-in-law, Major Myrna Meshew and husband Nick and Mia Rangel-Price and family.
Evan was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling and gardening. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
