Evan Jackson

Evan Brandon Jackson, a bright and talented young man whose spirit touched many lives, passed away on August 11, 2024, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 19, 2007 Evan was the beloved son of Brianne Brooks and Tyler Jackson, and the loving big brother of Caden Hansen and Dylan Jackson.

Evan’s life was a vibrant tapestry of passion, kindness and creativity. He found joy in drawing and creating his own animations, constructing many of the most complicated Legos sets, and taught himself to play his favorite theme songs on his grandfather’s guitar. His long hair, worn with pride, was a reflection of his unique personality and self-expression. Evan had a love of history and the past, he also cherished road trips with his family, whether oceans, mountains, forests or deserts; he loved learning about the histories and wildlife of new areas.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Jackson, and his maternal grandfather Randy Brooks. Evan is survived by his mother, Brianne Brooks; his father, Tyler Jackson; his stepfather, Blake Hansen; his brothers, Caden and Dylan; his grandmothers; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Evan’s warmth, creativity, and the joy he brought to those around him will be deeply missed. While his absence leaves a profound void, his family finds comfort in the belief that he has been embraced by his heavenly Father. His kind spirit and the love he shared will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.

A service to celebrate and remember Evan’s life will be held on September 16, 2024 at 11:00 at The Stone Oak Presbyterian Church located at 20024 Crescent Oaks, San Antonio Texas.
