She enjoyed gardening, roses, walking and the outdoors.
Evelyn was employed with International Harvester Agricultural Company where she met her future husband, Lloyd, and left work to raise her son, Gary.
She loved taking trips with her family and beloved sister, Leila. Evelyn was spiritual and active in her church. She had a great personality, sharp wit and loved jokes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd M. Hankins; parents, William and Elzada McNeil; sister, Leila McNeil; and brother, Ernest McNeil.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Gary Hankins and wife, Marilyn; grandchildren, Jason, Bryan, Ashley and Evan; and brother, Harold McNeil.
Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.
