Evelyn Ruth Wilkinson

Evelyn was a graduate of North Texas University with a Master’s Degree and spent her Teaching Career at Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jerden Clark and Evelyn Joan Vaughn and brother Gene Vaughn, all of Dallas, Texas.

Evelyn is survived by her Husband of 54 years, Marion Donald Wilkinson; Son, Scott (Jeanann) Wilkinson; Daughter, Shelley (Charles) Garcia; Granddaughters: Kala Curtis, Hannah Wilkinson, Hailey Garcia, Hannah Garcia, Natalie Garcia, Grandsons: Garrett Wilkinson, Luke Wilkinson, Nathan Garcia, all of San Antonio, Texas, three brothers, Bill Mays of Humble, Texas, Ken Mays of Garland, Texas, Joe Mays of Longview, Texas and one sister Honey (Ron) Hart of Longview, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Evelyn was a true woman of faith, and a member of Northeast Baptist Church. She was known for her amazing fudge brownies, her constant smile and her love of sewing and crafts. She was devoted to her family and treasured the memories with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 18th from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 19th at 9:00 am with the burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
