

He attended public school in San Antonio and graduated from Brackenridge High School.
Mr. Beck was a long-term resident of San Antonio before moving to Canyon Lake.
He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He was on Tinian Island where the Enola Gay took off with the bombs that ended the war. He was co/owner of Beck Gravel Company with his brother and father. Mr. Beck was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Canyon Lake. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his hunts with his sons and grandsons.
Farrel and Barbara traveled extensively in their RV as well as many cruises.
He was also an avid 9-pin bowler in Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents Emil G. and Grace E. Beck; brother, Melvin W. beck; sister, Marguerite L. Farmer and his first wife Nora Woodley Beck.
Farrel is survived by his wife Barbara A. Beck; sons, Farrel E. Beck, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Rockport, TX and Melvin Scott Beck and his wife Vickie Lynn of Woodstock, MD; stepchildren, Sharon E. Swanson and her husband C. A. of Harlingen, TX and Herbert A. Arnold, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Ronald Scott Beck, Dr. Randall Wayne Beck, David Farrel Beck, Heather Marie Beck and Sara Lynn Beck; step grandchildren, Joshua Ross Arnold and Kimberly Nicole Arnold; four great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the Hope Hospice in New Braunfels for their loving care.
