

Fay McGee Sauls of San Antonio, Texas died Friday, September 10th, 2010 on the San Patricio Ranch surrounded by her family. Born in McComb, Mississippi, April 16th, 1922, to Rufus “Chick” and Ruth McGee. Fay graduated from McComb high school and worked at the local bank before marrying Wayne Ray Sauls also from McComb. After the wedding, they embarked on a life of adventure with the US Army traveling the world together. Their duty stations included Japan, Hawaii, Germany and during this time they produced a family of three boys along the way; Patrick, Mac, and Bob. Fay was a published author and an authority on bridge. She was active at various Army posts within the Officer’s Wives Club and supporting, occasionally originating, bridge clubs. She also loved to golf, especially with her family.
Fay is survived by her sons; Wayne Patrick, wife Leslie and his sons Scott and Beau; Kirby McGee, wife Jan and his children Mac, Janean, and McGee; Robert Brooks, wife Orbra and daughters Jessica and Jaclyn.
Graveside services will be at Fort Sam Houston September 15th, 10:30 AM.
