Fernando Centeno Govea

Fernando Centeno Govea, born on May 30, 1936 went to be with our Lord on December 30, 2021 at the age of 85. Mr. Govea worked in Civil Service for Kelly Air Force Base, where he honorably served in the United States Army, and was a Lector at St. James Catholic Church. He had a passion for carpentry and was devoted to his family and church. Mr. Govea is preceded in death by his parents, Valentino and Petra Govea, and his sister Pauline Govea. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Anita P. Govea, children; Elizabeth Noriega, Leonard P. Govea (Roxanne), Ernest P. Govea (Suzanna), Sandra P. Govea, Janice Ortegon (Jason), along with 19 grandchildren and one great grandson as well as numerous family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. On Thursday, January 13, 2022, we will be departing at 9:30am for 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 907 W. Theo Ave., San Antonio, TX 78225. An interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
