The graveside service was amazing. What an honor to witness the military honor that was given to a great man. I am truly blessed to be the niece of a hero.

It's sad that we don't say thank you and how we much we appreciate someone till it's to late. I hope he knew how much it meant to me and my family that he was always there for us when we went through trials with mom and dad (his uncle and aunt). Even it it was just a knee replacement he was here, if it was a brain tumor, he was here..Thank You Lencho for your big heart and the love you had for my parents and the whole Hernandez family. We love you and will miss you.

Estelle, my heart goes out to you and the family at this time of loss. He is at peace and will be wrapped in God's love.  You all are in our Prayers.

I am greatful to be an American because of men like "Lencho." I'm thankful for the sacrifice he made in honor of our country. I remember as a child talking to him about the Vietnam war. I could not understand the impact until he showed me his wound. 

As I grew older I learned Vietnam Veterans did not receive the regard they so richly deserved. Because of him and my Uncle Oscar, I make it a point to thank a veteran any time I get. 

I remember his hearty laugh, and love for photography. He seemed to have all the best cameras. I believe Heaven is richer because Lencho has entered the kingdom. I pray for God's Grace to cover the rest of the Alvarez and Rodriguez family....
