

He collected, repaired and restored clocks. He was always resourceful; if he couldn't find the parts he needed, he made them. Forest was also a talented painter and enjoyed painting Hill Country scenery and portraits of his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Spriggs.
Forest is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lola Spriggs; son, Chris Spriggs and wife Pam; granddaughters, Heather Thompson, Meredith Patteson and Beth Stanion and grandson, Steven Spriggs and their spouses; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family wishes to thank Lettie Rivera for her love and devotion as well as the staff at Morningside Manor.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
