With deep sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Francisca "Frances" De Leon, who departed this life peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born on May 12,1945, Frances was a woman of profound love, quiet strength, and selfless devotion. She married the love of her life, Mariano De Leon, on June 3,1967, beginning nearly six decades of unwavering partnership, faith, and family.
Frances was a truly great mother, raising her children with patience, compassion, and an unshakeable sense of responsibility. She lovingly cared for her sons Marco and Carlo, both of whom lived with disabilities, with the kind of gentleness and strength that defined her character. Her love knew no limits- especially when it came to her family.
Her home was more than a place - it was a refuge, a celebration, a hub for family gatherings where meals were shared, stories were passed on, and generation came together. Nothing brought her more joy than the laughter of her grandchildren, Alejandra (Kurt) Wetz and Cristian (Avery) De Leon, whom she adored with all her heart.
Frances is survived by her husband Mariano, loving son Mariano Jr. (Wendi), and cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons Marco and Carlo, her parents Claudio and Francisca, and her siblings; Angel, Petra, Claudio Jr., Juan and Apolonio.
She leaves behind a legacy of quiet dignity, fierce love, and enduring warmth. Her strength was felt not in grand gestures but in the small, consistent ways she cared for others- a life lived in service, in love, and in family. Frances will be remembered for her generous spirit, her deep faith, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Though she is no longer with us, her love will live on in every heart she touched.
A visitation for Frances will be held on Monday August 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. San Antonio TX 78211. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday August 12, 2025 at 12:00PM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1918 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
