

Francisco was a loving husband, father, and cherished brother, uncle and grandfather. He was known for his warm heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and his ability to bring joy and laughter to every gathering.
In his later years, Francisco discovered his Indigenous heritage, which he embraced and relished with great pride. He was especially proud of his Indian name, Red Hawk, a name that reflected his spirit and strength.
Francisco was preceded in death by his parents, Elias E. Saldana and Maria O. Saldana; his sister, Dolores Macias; and his brothers, Elias Saldana Jr. and Reynaldo Saldana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cynthia Saldana; his sons, Michael A. Saldana, Jonathan T. Saldana, and Eric L. Saldana (Angela); his brothers, Pablo O. Saldana (Santina) and Alfredo O. Saldana (Maria); his sisters, Lydia Saldana, Mary Lou Rodriguez, and Norma L. Saldana; his grandchildren, Salvador Vega, Jr. and Bella Vega. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to honor his legacy and carry his memory forward.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, July 14, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Porter Loring West, 1710 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, TX 78251, with a rosary to follow.
A final viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 15, from 11:00 AM to noon at Porter Loring West. A procession to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will depart at 12:30 PM, with graveside services to follow at 1:30 PM.
Francisco will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
