

He was born 78 years ago to Francisco Talamantez Casas and Ramona Cardenas Casas in Wilson County, Texas. He was a born again Christian and served the Lord in many areas of his life.
Frank was an 8th generation Texan and his children fondly recall the special times when would tell stories of his rural life in Wilson County. When his parents moved the family to San Antonio, he was a teenager, he would appeal to his parents to return to the country life. Frank's favorite hobby was watching all sports, however, every year he excitedly anticipated football season, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed western movies, in particular John Wayne. Frank had a way with people and everywhere he went he knew no stranger.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Minnie Villarreal Casas.
Frank is survived by his four children, Cyndi Uribe (Tony), Carol DeLaGarza (David) and Rose Treviño (Matthew) Francisco Casas, III (Linda) and four grandchildren, Alec Uribe (Anastasia) Victoria Uribe, Caroline DeLaGarza and David DeLaGarza II and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Uribe II and Ava Uribe.
A Celebration of Life will be held to share memories and pay tribute to Frank on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Porter Loring Mortuary on 1101 McCullough Ave.
Procession from Porter Loring , Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:30 am with a Graveside to follow at 11;00 am San Jose Burial Park.
