My sincerest condolences to the Duron family. My heart breaks for the loss of the last patriarch of my grandfather's (Dionicio T.) generation that I grew up with. Wishing all the Duron family peace and comfort. 

Uncle Frank, you were a special Uncle and were always there for me as a father after my Dad passed away.  I loved spending time with you; your wonderful sense of humor and laughter always brought me joy.  You were always up for a new adventure; some of  which I was blessed to be part of.  

Sometimes you were a bit rough around the edges when you were simply looking out for us and giving advice.  One piece of advice I always remember and will never forget; I drove you and Mom to Dallas and you were definitely a passenger driver.  LOL  BUT, I hold that advice deep in my heart; you told me, “If you’re going to pass that 18-wheeler, pass it, if not get back in the right lane.  They cannot see you next to them, so pass and pass quickly.”   I remember that every time I drive on the highway and a BIG truck is ahead or next to me.  

Thank you for your visits, it was always a pleasure having you in our home.   Thank you for loving me and my family; there are no words to express how much we will miss you.  We will miss you but will cherish the time God blessed us with you in our life; thank you for so many sweet memories.  

To our Duron Family, our condolences to all of Uncle Frank’s family and friends.  May God wrap his loving arms around each of you and give you the love, comfort and peace you need.  Though we cannot be with you in person, we are definitely with you in spirit, our thoughts and prayers and y’all are always in our hearts.  Our love, thoughts and prayers are with y’all.    

He was a special and wonderful man who cared about ALL his family and friends, and will be missed by many.  He will live on through our memories.  His memory will forever be in our hearts.

May God give y'all comfort and peace.

Grandpa Duron,
An amazing display of love and compassion for all.  A man I was blessed to know  most of my life. I was  blessed to spend more time during these last few  years on  special occasions and holidays . His smile lite up a room and his heart was golden.  Everyone was always made feel welcome and his conversations were always genuine. During these days of mourning I offer comfort to the family with this reminder,  the Lord has made  good on another promise to call us home when it is time. No more pain, no more worries, Grandpa is running on streets of gold in heaven with Jesus. It takes a special man to carry the title of GRANDPA. His memories and legacy lives in us all.  Thank you grandpa!

He is survived by his children, John Tijerina Duron (Carmen Barrientes Duron), Amado Tijerina Duron and Larry Tijerina Duron (Esequiel H. Garza); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Josefina Duron Ponce; also, numerous nieces and nephews.




He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Isabel Duron; wife, Jesusa Tijerina Duron; sons, Frank Tijerina Duron Jr., Albert Tijerina Duron; and daughter, Rosa Duron Mireles.
