Surrounded by loved ones, Frank Arthur Faust, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Frank was born to Hazel May and Frank Faust on July 7, 1950, in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was a proud army veteran, serving in Korea from 1971 to 1976. While stationed there, he met and married his wife, Yun-Hui, who traveled with him back to the U.S. Though the couple could not be more different, their marriage lasted for nearly 50 years, and together they raised their daughters and traveled the world. Frank was a diesel mechanic and later a small business owner, owning and operating several Schlotzky’s locations alongside his wife and eventually his daughter and son-in-law. Frank was a major supporter of local law enforcement, frequently volunteering with the San Antonio, Bulverde, and Granite Shoals police departments. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast, riding with the Wind Therapy Freedom Riders (WTFrs). Frank retired to a small ranch in Harper, Texas. There he spent his final years doing the things that he loved: taking care of his land and family, raising his animals, and befriending and chatting endlessly with anyone who would listen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel May and Frank Faust, and daughter, Donna Faust-Ognoski. Frank is survived by wife, Yun-Hui Faust; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Stephen Bradburn; and three grandchildren Devin, Dustin, and Kennedy Bradburn.
