He played professional baseball in the Minor Leagues. Major Weyrich entered the Army Air Corps in 1941 and then flew gliders in the United States Air Force, retiring after 22 years of service.
He then became a member of the PGA, a member of the Guadalupe Lodge #109 AF & AM, the Alzafar Shrine, also a member of the Silent Wings Museum and the Elks Lodge # 216.
Survivors: wife, Iris F. Weyrich; sister, Dorothea Layland; 3 nieces; 1 nephew.
