Frankie Jo Breitenkamp

Frankie Jo Breitenkamp, loving mother and friend went home to be with our Lord on December 20, 2020. She was born in Vernon, Texas on March 18, 1924 to Harper and Bertha Nixon. In her lifetime, Frankie was a devoted mother of 5 and had an extended family of children as she taught 1st and 2nd graders for over 25 years. She was also a very devoted member of the Windcrest United Methodist Church and was involved in their kitchen band. Frankie and her bandmates would play with whatever could be found within the kitchen to make music.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, George Lacy Mayes. Her second husband, Lt. Colonel Robert Newton Breitenkamp, eldest son, George Lacy Mayes Jr., youngest son, Sean Paul Walter Mayes, brothers George and Paul Nixon, and grandson Clinton William Mayes.

Frankie is survived by brother John Nixon, wife Billie, son, Geoffrey Mayes, wife Linda Marie, daughter, Linda Breitenkamp, husband Bill, son, Greg Mayes, wife Judy, 10 grandchildren, over 20 great grandchildren and most recently, a great great grandchild as well as numerous family and friends. She will be missed. 

NO PUBLIC SERVICES ARE SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME. However, there will be a memorial service in the future at her church, windcrest united methosdist church.
