

She was born at home on August 17, 1919 in San Antonio and lived her entire life in this city.
She graduated from St. Mary's Parochial High School in San Antonio and won a scholarship to secretarial school. After secretarial school, she worked at CIT Corporation. She also worked at the cigar counter in the St. Anthony Hotel.
Frankie was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Frankie was a caring and giving lady who loved her family, her friends, and her heritage. She enjoyed telling detailed stories and always remembered the family history. For several years, she was the caregiver for members of her family in need.
She is preceded in death by her parents William A. Kaupert and Ruth (Tietschert) Kaupert, her first husband Glendon Hammer, and her second husband Fred Traut.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters William H. Kaupert, Evelyn Evans, Mary Mueller, Callie Welborn, J.L. Kaupert, and Forrest J. Kaupert, all of San Antonio, Texas, and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will miss her very much.
