A true servant leader, he dedicated his life to others. For the past 34 years he served as an educator and principal touching countless lives and making lifelong friends. His passion for education, family, Texas A&M, hunting and telling a story with exaggeration worked in for effect inspired passion and creativity in others, bringing out the best in people, because he genuinely cared about them. Consistently optimistic and good spirited, a joy to be around, a good husband, father, son, boss and friend. He taught us love of family, love for spouse, love of people and most importantly a commitment to serving others.
Past President of PDK, Principal of the year, and BHS Hall of Fame, are but a few of his accomplishments. He loved volunteering with NEF and serving as President of the Alamo Area Parkinson's Assoc. More than this, he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed more than can be imagined and will continue to influence us throughout our lives.
He was pre-deceased by his father Charles Dyas, brother Jeffrey, sister Cheryl Dyas Daskalos. He is survived by his wife Anna Marie, his parents Hazel & Phillip Parks, his children Scott, Anne, & Mathew Dyas, Eric and Ashley Cowan, grandchildren Catherine & Allison Cowan, brother-in-law William Daskalos, niece Samantha.
