

After a courageous fight with cancer, Fred passed away on July 27, 2008 at the age of 47.
Fred was born in San Antonio on January 18, 1961, to the late Fred Garza, Jr. and Hope Garza. He graduated from Central Catholic High School. Fred lived in Dallas for the last 18 years before being diagnosed and worked for Southwest Airlines.
Surrounded by his family, his passing was peaceful and now his pain is over. His wonderful and loving mother stayed by his side every moment of his battle until his last breath.
To all who knew him he was loving, giving, trusting and the best friend you can imagine, with an unmatched zest for life. He had a great smile that will truly be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Hope Garza; his daughter, Amber Rose Garza; sister, Mary and husband Robert Gonzales, nephews, Jeff and Chris of Plano, TX; brother, Michael and wife Kim, nieces, Hannah and Rachel, nephew, Sam of St. Paul, MN; brother, Richard, nephew, Richie, niece, Renata of Dallas, TX; sister Susan and husband Romeo, nephew Ryan Garza of San Antonio; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also has his wonderful friends at SWA Love Field he called his second family.
