

Friedrich Oskar Fehrenbach, of Bandera, Texas, passed peacefully into his Savior’s arms on Monday, March 9, 2015. He was 81. Fred was born April 10, 1933 in Furtwagen Baden, Germany. He emigrated to the United States in the 1950’s and served honorably in the US Army for two years. Much of that time was spent stationed in Germany where he met his future wife, Sieglinde Müller, on a street car in Mannheim. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Friedrich Karl Fehrenbach and Linda Fehrenbach. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Sieglinde; sons Gerhard (Teresa) Fehrenbach, Michael (Cynthia) Fehrenbach and Thomas (Brenda) Fehrenbach; and eight grandchildren, Amy, Collin, Timothy, Amanda, Nathanael, Arielle, Eliysha, and Matthew; sister, Irma (Charles) Kurzhals; stepsister Veronika (Alan) Martens; nieces, Linda Quenzer and Gina Martens; nephew, Mark Martens. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Helotes Christian Church, 14120 Bandera Rd., Helotes, Texas 78023. Interment with U.S. Army honors will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
