

He was a loving and devoted, husband father and grandfather. Gabino proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of World War II, liberating the Filipinos from Japan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Astorga Muñoz and Aurelia Baldaso Muñoz and loving wife of 64 years, Maria Ignacia Gomez Muñoz.
Gabino is survived by his five daughters, his two sons and their spouses, Martha Esparza and husband, Richard, Anna Garza and husband, Antonio, Dolores Baker and husband, Roger, Gabino G. Muñoz, Jr., Carlos Muñoz and wife, Rosa, Esther G. Muñoz and Teresa M. Garrett; 13 grandchildren, Joseph A. Esparza, Mario A. Esparza, Edith A. Garza Gelvin, Salina Garza Butler, Leslie D. Baker, Jennifer B. Daniels, Mary E. Baker, Leticia B. Weissling, Gabriel J. Muñoz, John D. Muñoz, Monica M. Muñoz, Jeanette M. Villarreal and Carlos Muñoz and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, May 30, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
