Born on February 20, 1957 in Dothan, Alabama to Clifford and Mary Nell Hudson, Gail spent her early years between Alabama, Ethiopia, and California. Her experiences abroad helped shape her adventurous spirit and deep compassion for others.
Gail earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She dedicated her career to pediatric nursing, serving children and families across Washington D.C., Florida, Hawaii, and Texas. Her commitment to caregiving extended beyond her profession—she was a devoted volunteer at her church until her illness made it no longer possible.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: walking along the beach, listening to music, and cherishing time with her loved ones. Her warmth and joyous spirit touched all who knew her.
Gail is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas P. Finn, Lt Col USAF (Ret); daughter, Sharon and future son-in-law, Devin; son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandsons, Will and Drew; niece, Erin and nephew, Sean; along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy.
A Funeral Mass will be held on April 16, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, with a viewing beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association or the American Diabetes Association.
May Gail’s memory bring comfort and peace to those who knew and loved her.
