Gary L. Beyer

Gary L. Beyer, age 67, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 in Windcrest, TX. He was born on November 2, 1955 at the Nix Hospital downtown San Antonio to Helen Carney and Charles Beyer. He graduated from Holmes High School in 1973. He earned an Associate in Applied Science from San Antonio College in 1976 and a BA (Finance) from UTSA in 1994. Gary worked in the Air Conditioning business before he found his passion in the beer industry before retiring in 2020.

Gary served in the Scoutmaster Corp of Boy Scout Troop 145. He loved the Texas outdoors and hunting. He was a faithful member of Northern Hills United Methodist Church, and an active member of the New Life Emmaus community, serving as a Team member on many Walks. Gary was a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles and was thrilled to meet his Orioles hero, Boog Powell. He was a faithful travel companion with Sue on many trips in the US and Europe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Beyer; and mother Helen Carney Beyer.

Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan (Winnie) Beyer; daughter Sarah (Elvis) Irwin; son David Beyer; grandson Henry Irwin; sister Linda (Darrell) Jackson; niece Jennifer (Sean) Wilson, nephew Taylor (Chay) Cox; niece Amberly (Jordan) Lake; 1 great-niece and 6 great-nephews; many cousins, friends and Emmaus brothers.
