Gary Wayne East, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 27, 2019 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on November 29, 1954 in Columbus, OH to Myron and Mary East. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Gary enjoyed a very lucrative career with HP where from he retired after thirty-three years of dedicated service as a Computer Engineer. He was most happy spending time with family and his many close friends and loved all things in and of nature, science, photography and traveling.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving and devoted wife of thirty-one years Jane Wendell East, his son Joey East, brothers Myron (Peggy) East and Jimmy (Karen) East, sister Kathy East (Dan) Wade and sister-in-law Sandy East.
A Celebration of Life for Gary will begin at 12pm on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home (Austin Hwy) followed by a Memorial Reception.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to a charity of your choice in Gary's memory.
