Gary Waldon Mercer, age 86, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 in San Antonio. Gary was born on February 2, 1935 in Darst, Texas, to parents, Bert and Minter Morris Mercer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. Gary is survived by his sons, Robert and Randall Mercer; daughter, Lori O'Dea (Paul); grandchildren, Brandon Barlow (Jovette), Amanda Sime (David), Mathew and Michael Mercer; 7 great-grandchildren; Sister, Faynell Howareth; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Porter Loring North Chapel SERVICE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2021 12:00 P.M. PORTER LORING NORTH Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
