Gary L. Wallace

Gary Lynn Wallace went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, September 25th. Gary was born in Hallsville, TX, the son of A.C. and Sybil Wallace. Gary graduated from Corpus Christi High School, attended Delmar Junior College and then the University of Texas. His education was interrupted when his reserve unit was called to service. He served most of his Navy time in New Orleans, working with Admiral Higgins' 8th Naval District. After his Navy days, Gary returned to the University of Texas. He was employed with Sears for 35 years as a Credit Manager. At one time, he managed 5 states from a Credit Central located in Lafayette, LA.

After spending most of his later career in south Louisiana and the New Orleans area, he retired from Sears and later moved with his wife to San Antonio 17 years ago. He was a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church. While at Trinity Baptist, he loved working with the senior adults.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn, and his parents, A.C. and Sybil Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Cooper Wallace; his brother, Allen Wallace (Mary); nephews, John Wallace (Jannyce) and Gary C. Wallace (Ale); niece, Ann Callahan (Bob) and several great nephews, nieces and cousins.
