Geneva Vernell Wilson

Geneva Vernell "Nell" Wilson, age 89, passed away July 10, 2013, in San Antonio. Nell was born in San Antonio, Texas January 29, 1924. She was the seventh of ten children born to Robert and Emilie Laechelin. Nell was a woman loved by all whose lives she touched. In1939 she married Estes James Houchin and they had one child, Janell Annette. James died during World War II. In 1945, Nell married Hollis Clay "Sam" Wilson and they had two daughters, Suzanne Marie and Connie Lynn. Nell and Sam were married sixty-five years before his death in 2010.

Nell is survived by her daughters, Janell and husband, Joe Wolfe, Suzanne and husband, Bob McConkey, Connie and husband, Bill Creel, II. Also, Nell is survived by eight grandchildren: Catherine Wolfe, Karen and husband, Rob Griet, Jeff Thorp and wife, Felicia, Todd Thorp, A.J. Sanchez, II, Mary and husband, Ryan Watts, Allison Creel, Christina Creel and great-grandchildren Mason Girard, Lily Thorp, Rose Thorp, Lyla Harden-Sanchez, Teagan Creel and Jack Watts.
