Genevieve Anne Oswald (nee O’Connor) passed away on January 12th, 2018. She is survived by children Charles Oswald, Annemarie Oswald, George (Nancy) Oswald, Michael (Laurie) Oswald, Rosemarie (Oliver) Evancho, and Thomas (Jennifer) Oswald; sister Margaret Mary Harris and brothers Thomas (Rosemary) O’Connor, James (Beverlyn) O’Connor, and Joseph (Martha) O’Connor; brother-in-law Rudy (Mary Lou) Oswald; and 11 grandchildren. She is predeceased by Husband Charles Oswald, Parents Willard and Margaret O’Connor, Father and Mother-in-Law Annie and Carl Oswald, Brother-in-law Thomas Harris, Sister-in-Law Mary Ellen Oswald. She was born in 1935 in Janesville, Wisconsin and was married in 1959 in Janesville, Wisconsin. She graduated from Marquette University with a BSN in 1957 and worked as a visiting nurse in Milwaukee, WI. She moved to San Antonio TX in 1963 and raised her six children there, where she resided until her death. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church from 1964 to 1973 and then St. Thomas More Catholic Church for the remainder of her life. She and her husband, Chuck, were very committed to the Catholic faith and to a Catholic education for their children. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 4411 Moana Dr., San Antonio, TX, 78218. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 16th from 6-9 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
