He graduated from San Marcos Academy where he was Colonel of the cadets. He also graduated from UTSA. George worked in advertising, management and education. He has served as a Baptist deacon and taught Bible study.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Mugg Badgley; sons, George M. Badgley, III and wife Melissa, and Chet Badgley; grandsons, Stone Badgley, George M. "Mason" Badgley, IV and Zeb Badgley.
