George Al Benavides passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on August 26, 1947. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Connolly Benavides; niece, Stephanie Durden; and grandmother, Antonia Vann Benavides. George is survived by his father, Joseph Benavides of Warner Robins, GA; sisters, Gail Onsted (Keith) of Macon, GA., and Kim Leotis (John) of Warner Robins, GA.; two nieces and two nephews; loving partner of 44 years, Pete M. Martinez; and extended family and friends. George touched many lives before he was granted his Angel Wings and Flying High in the Sky over the Rainbow. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
