He was preceded in death by his parents, George F. Bubel II and Catherine Bubel; his sisters, Mary and Susan; and his grandson, Curtis.
George F. Bubel III is remembered by his wife, Grace; his children, Samantha (Jaclyn), Amy (Chris), Roxanne (Westley), and John (Stella); his grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Renee, Devon, Aloni, Davon, and Jett George; and his great-grandchildren.
George retired from Southwest Airlines, completing his working career before devoting more of his time to the people and pastimes that meant the most to him. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, listening to Pearl Jam, watching the Yankees, and going out to eat with all the kids. These everyday moments were an important part of his life and reflected the connections he maintained with those around him.
Family remained at the center of George’s life. He was especially devoted to his daughters, Samantha and Amy, and was described as the epitome of a girl dad. He also took particular joy in being a grandfather, a role that was regarded as his best. The time he shared with his family became a defining part of how he will be remembered.
George F. Bubel III will be remembered for the place he held in the lives of those who knew him, for the enthusiasm he brought to the things he enjoyed, and for the many moments spent with family.
