George Edward Carter

Our beloved husband and father, George E. Carter, age 76, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 10, 1938. He proudly served in the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his son, SGT Brandon Tamarus Carter, US Army.

George is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon A. Carter; six children, daughter Kelly Carter, son, George Carter, son, Mickey Carter, daughter, Christine Holley, and her husband Alvin, and son, Kiel Carter and his wife, Christina.

George is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and brother in law, Pastor Ralph A. Dorsey, and his wife, Marilyn; brother, James Carter and wife, Andrea; sisters, Rose Carter and Carol Garrett.

George loved to play saxophone. He was well versed in music and played tenor, alto, and soprano. He loved to sing, especially with the choir at his church in San Diego, California.

He also had a love for working on his cars and spending time fishing with his son Kiel.

George will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
