He was a resident of San Antonio since 1950, and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He graduated from Waco High School in 1927, and received a BBA degree from Baylor University in 1933.
He was a long time member of the Baylor Letterman's Association, and an avid sports fan. He was a charter member and office holder of the Spurs Tip-Off Club.
Mr. Casey retired from Headquarters Fifth U.S. Army in 1973, after serving 31 years in Civil Service.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Ann Helm Casey, and six sons and one daughter: Pat and wife Ann of Castroville, Mike of Castroville, Tim and wife Inge of Phoenix, Arizona, Dennis and wife Lucy of Allen, Texas, Terry of San Antonio, Brian of San Antonio, Kathleen and husband Phillip Manna of San Antonio. Four granddaughters: Jennifer of Lubbock, Elizabeth of Phoenix, Kathleen and Denise of Allen.
