Major George Nestor Dickerson, USAF (Ret), beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the age of 86. Maj. Dickerson was born and raised in Conway, Arkansas and was a 1944 graduate of Conway High School. While attending East Texas Teachers College, he met the love of his life, Vera Lee Stanford, whom he married on September 3, 1950. George was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Lee Dickerson; parents, Foster and Jean Dickerson; brothers, Foster Rod Dickerson, II and Jean K. Dickerson. He is survived by his daughters, Diana L. Morff, Caroline J. Phillips and Annette Cooper; grandchildren, Patrick A. Stewart, Larry D. Knight, Jr., Kiona and Karina Cooper; and great grandchildren, Reanna Hart and Scarlett Lynn Knight. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 31st at Porter Loring North on 1604.
