My Uncle George was a wonderful guy. I will always hold my memories of the summers we spent in Portsmouth,NH. He was so funny and sweet, I will miss him.

I have not seen Mr. Elo in 20 years and was belssed to have been in touch with Lisa and see him before his passing at the hospital. God works in great ways - George was a great funny man and it will always be an honor to me that I knew him and his family. My deepest sympahyies - memories will always be in our hearts and minds. The first time I met George was at Subworks shortly after we had opened.He was dressed in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and all he would say when asked for his order was "I want one like they make at Santoro's".Now I knew Santoro's was a sub shop in Boston but surly this guy in the Halloween costume did not know that.When we got past that fiasco we started talking about golf and he said he would pick me up Sunday morning and we would play.When I told him I had no clubs he said he would provide some for me. We played that Sunday and about a million times after that.I so enjoyed our rounds togeather.Often it was just he and I.It was always easy with George. We would just play and talk and laugh and I would learn things just being around him.Little things like how to put people at ease and chat and tell stories.Spending these hours with him I heard many of his stories over and over but I never tired if them.We played so many times and when we got done no matter how the golf had gone, good,bad or indifferent we always said "man that was fun".They say you don't know what you'v got till it's gone.Well I knew what I had and I'm going to miss it.I love you George.

I have immense respect for a man who loved, raised and supported five children and was devoted to the woman he loved for over 50 years. I only had the opportunity to be in his company a few times but it was clear he was a man of integrity and a quintessential southern gentleman. The fact that he loved the game of which I am an addict gave us a special connection. I regret that he was made to suffer in his final days, but rejoice in knowing he has a special place with our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
