Was a great and kind man, a wonderful husband, a amazing father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be missed beyond any words that can be expressed. George passed away on May 25, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. Born in Bristol, Tennessee, on April 26, 1936. George was a man of love for his family, kindness, humor, hard work, honesty, and had a persistence to do all things right. He was a gentle man with the heart and strength of a giant. He was a fighter, never gave up on anything he did in life, he always gave it his all. He also loved to tell jokes, make people laugh and watch football. He was a proud hard working man and his words of wisdom and advice to his family to always be honest, caring of others, work hard, and remember to be humble will be remember always. He reminded us whatever we choose to do in life, a job done right meant you gave it 100 percent and never say "I can't". He was an amazing husband and father who gave all his love and attention to making sure his family was safe, happy and felt loved.
He grew up on a large farm and loved the outdoors so much he could spend hours outside planting trees, working on his land and home or just sitting out taking in the fresh breeze of his orange trees. He was a strong man who loved his country and enlisted to serve his beloved country at the age of eighteen. He served his country for twenty three years as a member of The United State Air Force before he retired. He was much too young to stay retired at the age of 41 he decided to open up his own small company for the next thirty years. He had a very special bond with his daughter filled with pride, love, life lessons, and their laughter from silly joke and special adventures.
Daddy you are my caring and loving father and my hero. You were our family's steady rock and the leader of our home as I was growing up, always knowing what to do or say. You have left us much too soon and our hearts are filled with tears. I will always remember our conversations filled with your brilliant stories, wise words of wisdom and caring moments. I will remember our time together, your love of life and your laughter. You are my beloved father and I will miss you so very much. I will fill the huge void in my heart with your love, your stories and our laughter and adventures. I will pass on all your stories and the love you have given me to my sons. Your grandchildren will always know and have your strength, love and laughter in their hearts. We love you so much and will miss you.
