George R. Hutchings

George was a graduate of Central Kitsap High School in Washington State and served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. He was a long time employee of City Public Service. He loved all types of sports, spending time with his grandchildren and traveling. He especially loved traveling to attend his grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed attending John Marshall High School Sporting events (from where all his children and grandchildren graduated). He rarely missed a Marshall H.S football game.

George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margie Hutchings and his sister, Joan Hutchings. He is survived by his son, Thomas Hutchings, daughter, Marnell Moore and husband John Moore; grandchildren, Matthew Moore, David Moore, and Michelle Moore.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 9944 Leslie Road, San Antonio, Texas 78254 with internment to follow at Helotes Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 9944 Leslie Road, San Antonio, Texas 78254.
